# Turn on autopilot for fresh pages

**Category:** Workflow · **Read time:** 4 min

Content changes; metadata should keep up. Autopilot watches your pages and regenerates their structured data when they change — freshness is one of the strongest signals for both search and AI. This guide switches it on.

---

## Steps

### 1. Turn autopilot on for a page
In **Optimize → Public Pages**, flip the **Auto-pilot** toggle on any page — or select several and use the bulk **Enable auto-pilot** action.

### 2. Make it the default for new pages
On your dashboard, enable **Auto-pilot new pages** so URLs picked up by future sitemap fetches start with autopilot on.

### 3. Let the freshness engine work
MetaPilot detects when an autopiloted page changes and regenerates its structured data automatically — no manual re-runs.

### 4. Decide how changes ship
Autopilot respects your approval setting: publish automatically, or route regenerations through review & approve.
